Kyle's Story
Hi everyone! After high school I went to Palomar and worked a bunch of dumb jobs. I met a girl named Erin, she became my wife. Erin and I had a baby named Kailey in January of 2007. Kailey is remarkably intelligent-she has read name tags before! In December of 2008 Kailey went to the hospital-she was turning purple. Kailey is a miracle baby. She has a few major heart defects and for the first 2 years her heart was beating like running a marathon. She went to Rady's Children's Hospital for 2 months, almost died, and had a miraculous recovery. The surgeon's said they've never seen a kid with such complications that survived surgery, let alone went undiagnosed for 2 years. It has been stressful to say the least. She will need surgery every few years, monthly reviews by a cardiologist, and may require a heart transplant in 25 years. The good part is medical technology is quickly reaching the quantum age. The bad part- my insurance company doesn't want to pay, Medical won't insure me because I ...Expand for more
have private insurance, and Obama's health care plan is under the microscope looking for places to make cuts-like the elderly and disabled God forbid! I'm not sure what will happen but I pray and encourage others to pray for Kailey. The other significant member of my family is Erin, my wife. Erin is working as executive assistant director for the Tracy Emblem for Congress Campaign for the 50th district. They are running on the democratic ticket pushing for health care and insurance reform, promoting work unions, and helping to bring more money to the area. It is very exciting to see how a congressional campaign is run and all the little steps and meetings it takes. If you live in the 50th district please vote Tracy Emblem for Congress-Tracy will help all of us be secure(health care, livable wage, etc.) I am not employed, I am a stay at home father, my goal is to get in a union for the retirement benefit and health insurance package. I also plan to join AFM local 325, the local musician's union.
