Ann's Story
I was married in 1963 to Jeff Gilbert , we have four kids-3 boy`s & 1 girl, and 8 grandchildren,4 great grand childen, and 2 on the way !Lived in Colorado for 21 years, Florida the rest, but plan to move back to Colorado. We had planned to, Things didn`t work out for Jeff and I. He passed away April 26th, 2012,not sure what I will do yet, now. Had to sell cows and give all the horses away when Jeff had his surgery. I like camping, beach, movies, music, traveling and spending time with our family. A little more about myself .My folks moved me around during my High School years, so I went my Freshman year to Danville, Il.,The first semester of my sof.year to Palatka Senior High, the second semester to Danville again and Palatka my Junior year. I decided, since with all the moving, and because I would have to go an extra year ,I would get married earlier than planned. The school told me if I did that, I could not finish school. And Since I was having some problems at home, I got married.I didn`t have any kids for two years, but could not graduate with my class. me if I had been p.g. ,I could have graduated, my how things have changed. I went back to school in Brooksville, Fl. and graduated in June of 1980, during the time I was driving a school bus !Things have changed a lot since those days, as far as rules go , but a lot of changes are not for the best. I would have loved to be able to graduate with my class of 1964,but I was lucky and got a great husband and wonderful family instead. God does everything for a reason. I truly believe that ! I still haven`t figured out why he was taken from me and the family this way, even though I know God has his reasons.I feel totally lost and have no idea what direction to go.When we were married, we thought we would live together to a ripe old age , 90`s but GOD had other plans . I am grateful for the time I had with my wonderful sweet loving husband , and thank GOD daily for him and our time together. Life is so uncertain, so please live each and every day to it`s fullest and never take it or anyone for granted. It can be gone in a heartbeat, and your life can change drastically .
