Stephen Meyer:

CLASS OF 1978
Chantilly, VA

Stephen's Story

I've accomplished absolutly nothing!!! I currently "Dress-out" at 397 lbs. I am unemployed, and live in a trailer down by the river. I do alot of sweating because the airconditioner is on the blink, not to mention its hard to leave the bed in my rotund state. My needs consist of being able to get out of bed so that I can wash my rather deeply soiled bed linen. After graduating from "Melwood University" with a degree in marketing I started my own business in "80" selling cans of tunafish door-to-door. This endeavor didn't quite pan out as I wanted. In placing the hopes of my entire future in what turned out to be a non-lucrative upstart business, I basically gave up on any hope of extreme wealth and independance and have since been reduced to the state previously mentioned. Though not unlike the Phoenix who arose from the ashes, I have issued an ultimatum to myself to overcome these... oh nevermind, Im starting to sweat again, and the undiagnosed skin rash seems to be erupting once more. If able to pay the electric bill I will update this narrative in the future and move on to what I feel are the worst parts of my life after gradumating from "Chantilly High" class of 78. Ok, Ok, I never did go to col...Expand for more
lege, then again I had no mind to. It turned out that life and my career fell in my lap. I currently have a great job that I love, and feel so lucky/blessed that it happened. I have been afforded the ability to do and get most everything I have wanted in life. I never left the area and live within 5 miles of "Chantilly High" which I drive past on occasion and remember things that happened back then. I never got married, have no kids, and at times regret such, though at other times, I thank fate for not delivering me unto the gates of hell that which I see some parents going through. I love writing, and have kept an almost daily journal since leaving H.S. up until this current moment. In school I was "Just there" I was never really part of any group, had few friends but remember those I did foundly, some not so fondly. Retirement for me is not far off, as it probably is for some of you, and the way I figure it, we have about 10 years at the most of good healthy times, then its off to some nursing home to rot. I want to try and get in touch with a few people from the past and will endeavor so through this web site. (Does anyone remember Jeff Cole?)If so maybe you could help me find him. Thats it for now.
