Attended South Carolina State College Orangeburg, 1953 - 1958. Worked summer of 1958 in Washington, DC.
Taught at Choppee High School 1958 - 1960
Mrs. Maudest Squires,recruited me to teach at Choppee. Mrs. Squires ensured that I received the SC teacher's certification, by personally taking me to SC State College for its evening session to obtain education credits. She alsoensured that I received a grant to attended Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, summer, 1959.
Married, 1960, moved to NYC, fall of 1960. Have two boys, one granson
