After Grier I started teaching horseback riding. Continued training my horse "Don Brisk" aka Magi in the jumper division.Qualified for the Nationals at Harrisburg in the Amateur Owner division the first year showing as a jumper. Asked to be on a Prix de Ville team. Went to secretarial school but left early to show, again, at the Nationals.Showed on the Florida circuit in 1977.Continued to train show horses and give lessons.Got married in 1985,switched to training race horses and breaking yearlings for the track. Actually broke a grand-daughter of Secretariat! Went back to work teaching and training for the show ring, got divorced in 1989 and bought one of the horses I trained. Somewhere in all those years I became a veterinarian technician and then moved to Florida and opened up my own boarding kennel, "Just Like Home Kennels." Although I have moved to Maui I still run the kennel through my manager/partner, Heidi Cole. After showing up and down the East Coast from Florida to Canada from 1991-1996, I decided to buy a house in Vermont to get the animals out of the Florida heat.My boyfriend/life partner and I traveled every 6 months from Florida to Vermont and back again with 3-4 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats!Whew! Got tired of having a house but no home so we decided to move all the animals to Hawaii!! Will never leave the island of Maui as I think I have finally found a place to call home!
