Gloria's Story
I married Pete Villarreal in 1960, but after 25 years of marriage we divorced in 1985. I have 4 children, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
I live in West Sacramento, CA, as do my sisters, Gracie (Class of ¿61), and Velya, and my brothers Peter (Class of ¿56) and Ernest. Sadly, my sister Mela (Class of ¿52) and my brother Robert (Class of ¿59) passed away.
I worked for the Brownsville Shrimp Exchange, Shell Oil Company (West Sacramento, CA), and Pacific Bell/AT&T (Sacramento, CA), and several law firms (Sacramento, CA).
I love reading books of a religious and spiritual nature, and have a passion for poetry. My pastimes include gardening, writing poetry and short stories, and watching my novellas. I attend Holy Cross Catholic Church and spend my Sundays administering the Eucharist to the sick or home...Expand for more

After suffering a heart attack in June of this year, I knew I had to make some major changes in my life. I now carefully watch what I eat and include a multitude of vegetables and fruits. I exercise everyday by walking, stretching, and water aerobics.
I¿m planning to take a long-wished-for trip to Spain and Portugal next year to celebrate my 75th birthday.
My reason for getting on Classmates.com was to contact people who meant something to me and who I, unfortunately, lost touch with. After leaving Texas, I thought I had to choose between my friends or raising a family. Well, now that my children and grandchildren are grown and having children of their own, I think I can finally take time for me. In doing that, I¿d love to touch base with old friends and classmates.
