DIANE's Story
Where has 40 years gone...well I got married to a Beale guy right after high school. Moved to Wisconsin in 1972 when he got out, had 2 children, and by 1980 couldn't take the snow anymore, so we moved back to Yuba City. Got divorced in 1982. Worked at Bank of America in both Yuba City and Marysville, transferred to Sacramento branch in 1991. Married and divorced in there somewhere (we are allowed one mistake in life, aren't we?). Met and married a wonderful guy in 1996 and we've been doing a lot of traveling, fishing and just enjoying life. Both my children have grown up to be great adults, son in AL as a Blackhawk pilot/instructor in the Army and daughter is an engineer in Milwaukee, WI. ...Expand for more
Between them I have 5 wonderful grandchildren, which I don't get to see often enough. Ray and I both retired in 2002 and have been very busy since. Ray's daughter will be having a grandchild next March for us to spoil that will be close.
In 40 years there have been many more ups than downs. I remember high school with fond memories, though I wish I had joined in more, but I'm sure we'd all change a thing or two if we could. Accounting class with Mr. Nutter was my favorite. Big-Little week was always a blast. Remember..girls had to wear a dress everyday..and not too short either! Boy have things changed! I don't feel any older, just a few aches and pains, oh don't forget, the glasses!
