Barbara's Story
If you're looking for an adventurous story you'll have to move on. I've led a boring life. My focus in life is family and friends. I'm a homebody.
My goal--along with my husband's--has been to be a stay-at-home wife and mom. I've had a few temporary jobs when needed. I started out after graduation as a Buyer's
Assistant at Metzler's in Uniontown, then moved on to Accounts Receivable manager at Romeo and Son's Warehouse. After marriage, I stayed home for years until the boys got older and then worked as a manager at a temporary Spencer's Holiday Shop at the Uniontown Mall. I also worked for a short time at a Potatoes and Company as a night manager. After another long break, I worked at the infamous Pechin complex in the Drug Store for a few years. I ended my working days at Teletech at the Uniontown Mall working for Sprint as a customer service rep in their Number Porting Center. See?...Expand for more
I told you....not very exciting.
I've been married to Rick Minerd since 1969 and have two boys, Mark & Cory, who have provided me with two wonderful daughters-in-law, Chrissy and Robin, and an awesome granddaughter, Ashley. They're my world.
As mentioned, family is my life. My hobby is (naturally) genealogy which I've done for years. I enjoy the research and discovery process. My siblings and their families are the next most important people in my life and also my friends--true and faithful--not fleeting. I treasure them all. I'm so blessed!!!!
When I look back over my life, I don't think I'd change much. I'm content being who I am and don't feel the need to embellish to impress.
Thanks for looking at my story. I'll be leaving this site in September, 2016, and will stay with Facebook to keep in touch. If you'd like to say "hi", drop by.
Life's blessings to all and I wish you well.....
