Eileen's Story
After graduating from Heights High I went on to graduate from Kent State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I taught first grade in Euclid, OH, for two years, then moved to Everett,WA, for another year in first grade. After that I worked for the DODDS system in the Philippines at Clark AFB for two years. While I was there I met and married my husband of 42 years, Walt Parker. AFB and Croughton AFB) to Altus,OK where our daughter was born. We then went to Montevallo, AL where a neighbor remarked that I never had to do spring cleaning, I just moved to another state. Following AL we went to San Antonio, TX, before our final overseas assignment in Athens, Greece. When Walt's 20 years were up we stayed in Warner Robins, GA, (Robins AFB). I was able to retire five years ago with over thirty one years teaching behind me. We have seven grandchildren and enjoy travelling around the country to visit them.
