Barbara's Story

Hi Classmates, I have been living near Long Beach Island, New Jersey since 1995. My husband Ed recently retired so now we are splitting our time between Long Beach Island, NJ and Ft. Myers, FL. where we own a condo in a golf/tennis club. I am still playing lots of pickleball both on LBI and in Ft. Myers. I'm trying to learn golf but I have a long way to go before I can actually play the course. My husband and I enjoy traveling and this year we have taken two European vacations. We went on a 2-week cruise between Venice and Athens. We extended the trip a few days by spending time in Lisbon, Portugal, Verona, Italy, and Venic...Expand for more
e Italy It was a great trip, Last week we returned from a driving trip across southern France from Barcelona, Spain to Nice, So much beautiful scenery and opportunities to do a little hiking through castle ruins. Another great trip. I just recently found out that I am going to be a grandmother for the sixth time. Tami is due with baby #1 sometime in February. That brings the total number of grandchildren to 6 and they range in age from 14 - newborn. Now I have to figure out a way to see all of them as well as travel with my husband. I am pretty sure we can do that. Heading to Ft. Myers for the winter soon. Life is good.

This was our room at Suenca De Mar. Not exactly slumming it.
Ed didn't want to be upstaged by me so he shook claws with Gomez too. What a day!
He looked a lot less scarey on the bench. Yes, I actually held this thing. Can't you tell how excited I am.
