Allyson's Story
I joined the USAF and left for basic training shortly after graduation in June 1998. I am still in the Air Force and work as a military analyst. I enjoy my job but look forward to getting out of the military in a few years as well. My job has taken me to some interesting places. I lived in the Virginia Beach area for a little over 3 years, I spent a year in South Korea, and now I live in Italy with my husband, our daughter and three dogs. I travel a lot and have deployed to places in England, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

lenging things about being in the military and being gone so much is finishing school. I received my Associates Degree in Communications in 2003, my BA in Intelligence Studies in 2006, and should complete my Masters in National Security Studies by the end of 2009.
Between work and school, I don't have much time for hobbies. I think school is a hobby. =) I do enjoy traveling, which living in Italy for the past 5 years has allowed me to travel quite a bit. I also enjoy playing frisbee with my dogs and just spending time with my husband and our new daughter.
