Sandra's Story
After graduation I went to work at the
hat factory because to be close to home. I got married August 18, 1968
to Alvin Patten. Three weeks later he
left for Vietnam. He was there over a
year. When he returned In 1969 I went to work for the State. I stayed there
untill I had our first child Ronald
and 31/2 years later we had our daughter Carol. I stayed home with the kids. Did a few part time jobs. My husband was an over the road truck driver. While my daughter was still in high school I went to work for The
Maries County Assessor and I'm still
working there. Over the years we have
went fishing, rode horses a lot. My husband and son pulled antique tractor

about five years and that kept us really busy. Now we are working on our
house again. We bought my Dad & Mom's
house about a mile north of Vienna. We
added several rooms on then. Our son
has never married he drives a truck over the road. Our daughter was married for 13 or more years but is now
divorced she had one son our only grandchild. He is so precious to us
We almost lost her and him when he was
born. He is now 6 years old and the
things he says are so funny.
I work, shop, go to Branson almost every year. I haven't done a lot of
interesting things but I do have a family that I love and they are # 1 with me. I would like to hear from classmates for 1968
