Linda's Story
After a horrible and very rough childhood and even worse teen years, I have turned out to be quite the woman!LOL
GED in 1983,after being asked to leave high school after completing my Sophmore year. I started a nanny job in Lincoln with a wonderful woman who was a college professor who took me under her wing and saw to it that I received a wonderful education. I owe her so much! I went to SCC Lincoln for my Associates in Surgical Assisting. I have been happily married to a wonderful man who is an amazing father...we have 6 boys ages 27 yr to 14yr! We also now have 3 foster daughters 5yr, 7yr, and 13yr. I have a Masters in Perfoming Arts, with a Major in Dance, from the former Dance Institute. After an injury sidelined me from Pointe Ballet performing, I started to teach dance and found my love...Expand for more
.... I have been a dance teacher for over 22 years and have owned 3 studios, as well as a home daycare! I also now teach tumbling and gymnastics. My days are incredibly busy but I am grateful for every blessing God has given me! I am a cancer survivor, twice over, and now cancer free. I enjoy participating in fundraisers for cancer research. My favorite place to travel to each year is New York City to take my dance students to dance at Alvin Ailey, and Broadway Dance Center!(and to go shopping...Can you say "Prada":0)
I have wondered alot over the years about the few friends that were honest and true and did not turn away from me after my teen pregnancy, and hope to find them on this site. I would love to be in touch with them! Kristi Wendt, Susie Stubbendeck, Kendra Pointer, to name a few!?
