Linda's Story
I married my high school sweetheart in the fall of '65. We are still married. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
We moved to California and have lived here most of our lives, with side trips back to Ohio and a 3-year stint in Ocala, Fla.
I worked for 19 years in journalism, including many years at the Ashtabula Star-Beacon. In my 40s I decided I wanted a change, so I went back to school to become a teacher. I taught special ed. and ...Expand for more
community day school for troubled students for many years.
My husband,John,retired from aerospace in 2006, having worked on the B-1 and shuttle programs. I also retired, but I keep active in substitute teaching in areas near our home in Lemon Cove, Calif. I like being able to say, "No, I don't think I want that job today."
We also keep busy traveling and sightseeing, and I am active with my church in a little town called Woodlake, Calif.
