I graduated in 1966, it seems so long ago, and what a fun time it was back then. We would play outside until late (remember Kick the Can), walk to the store by yourself with 5 cents in your hand for some candy, those were the days. Riding our horses all over Rogue River, what wonderful memories. I married in 1968, worked at different jobs, moved a few times with my husband's job, had two wonderful boys that blessed my life with lots of love, good times, and wonderful memories. I sure remember many cold days on the bleachers watching baseball games, hard bleachers for watching basketball, and cold evenings around a campfire for scouting. Their first car, and that first one leaving the nest which you think will be easy but is the hardest thing you have yet had to do. Welcoming the first daughter-in-law into the family from far away Okinawa, where my son was stationed in the Air Force. Sending my baby off to CHP academy in Sacramento, and then seeing him stationed in East LA. Wow what a culture shock for that boy after going to school at SOC in Ashland, But he survived.
