Sharon's Story
After high scool Igot pregnant then married in 1983. Was married for 7 yrs.. After the divorce I stayed at home with my two boys until they were both in school, then I went back to work full time. I started out working fast food places. It was not easy finding a good job after being at home for so long!
Eventually I got a good job working for Medtronics, in their warehouse.After a few yrs, I was promoted to a lead position and was able to train people in shipping, recieving and how to drive a fork lift. After working there for 5or 6 yrs I quit and went to a machine shop in Ramsey.
Medtronic likes to pay men more then women even though I was the one training them.

due to health reasons. After that I went to work for Honeywell, that lasted about two yrs before they moved that part of the business to Mexico. Then I went to school and learned to take x-rays. Found that I hated working in hospitals and went back to warehouse work. IN 2007 I went to Ca. for awhile. Not much luck finding a decent paying job, so after 4mos, I returned to Mn. I am back in the warehouse work and I love it! But of corse at this point my body is telling me it's time to get out of the warehouse. But after doing it for 20 yrs., what else do you do?
I havetwo wonderful sons who are now adults, Mark the 3rd is 26, and Matt is 23. I hope some day they will be rich and can take care of me!!
