Linda's Story
Upon high school graduation I moved to Atlanta and went to school. I obtained a Paralegal degree while living in Mississippi. Later, I moved to St. Simons Island, GA where I met and married the love of my life. We now live in Brunswick, GA (the beautiful Golden Isles).
God has blessed me abundantly with a good life. i currently work for an allergist and also keep the books for my husband's company.
I enjoy staying active in the community and the church. I am an elder at First Presbyterian Church, chairing its Christian Education Committee and teaching the children. A friend and I implemented the Brunswick-St. Simons Island "Business After Hours". I have served on many local boards. I did volunteer work with the YWCA, serving on its Executive Board for six years. I did volunteer work with the local Chamber of Commerce (ribbon cuttings and incorporating the Leadership 90s/Leade...Expand for more
rship Glynn Association). I enjoyed working with the St. Simons Island Players Theater. Currently, I am active in my church, Red Hats, and Xi Delta Sigma Sorority. I also volunteer at The Manna House, which feeds the hungry.
My husband and I enjoy riding horses. A most enjoyable vacation was when we went to a "dude" ranch (Grapevine Canyon) in Pearce, AZ. It was wonderful - no telephones or television - only peace and quiet. You were up early for breakfast and riding the trails by 8:30 a.m. It was so relaxing to hear nothing but nature sounds and taking in the surrounding beauty. People from all around the world visit this ranch.
Many of you may remember James Saunders. He married my sister, Betty. They live in Winder, GA and have two children.
So, now you know my story. Thank God, I have had more ups than downs. I would enjoy hearing from my classmates and reconnecting. .
