Corinne's Story
I guess I'll start after graduation. I joined the Navy in November of our senior year and left a week after graduation for Orlando, FL and boot camp. I moved around in the Navy, Illinois, Mississippi, Texas and Washington. When I got out of the Navy I had a couple of jobs but no career. I stayed in the reserves for 12 years. I was a Hull Technician (welder) 1st class. I amrried while in the Navy and got divorced after a couple of years. Married again after I got out. I got a job with a garbage company, driving a curbside recycling truck. I was there for 5 years. I was in the process of getting my Class A license when I got fired. About that time I got divorced again after 12 years of marriage. I have now been married 13 years and been driving a school bus for 13 years. My husband is a retired state trooper and currently works as a traffic investigator for the county. He is retiring in July 2010. That is when I plan on retiring also. I never had any kids. I had cancer in my 20's and I had to have a hysterectomy. I have 3 step children and 4 grandkids with one more due the end of Oc...Expand for more
tober 2009. Steve and I enjoy everything together. We hunt, fish, camp, golf, motorcycle, watch football and enjoy classic cars. We currently own a 1958 Impala which I drive daily and a 1952 Willys Sedan Delivery which we are working on. We have a black lab that doesn't get to go hunting often enough. I go back to South Dakota as often as I can which is usually only once a year. After we retire we should be able to get there more often. He is also from South Dakota, near Sioux Falls. I still listen to country music although I prefer the old stuff more than the new stuff. We have some property in Eastern Washington where we can fish in the river that runs right in front of our place and hunt deer, grouse, bear and cougar in the fall. We live on Puget Sound so we fish for salmon when it is in season. We like boing outside. I miss the winters in South Dakota though. We don't get enough snow here. When we do it doesn't last very long and it is very wet. I guess that kind of brings me up to date on the last 30 years. Hope every one is where they want to be in life and happy and healthy.
