Life sure doesn't turn out like we thought. I did become a nurse like I'd always planned and have been an RN since 1970. I lived in Galesburg and worked at Cottage Hosp.all my life until the last few years. I was married with 2 children like I'd always hoped- a boy and a girl- perfect. ork for the health department as a public health nurse. Everything changed in my mid 50s in ways totally unexpected. My daughter and grandchildren live in Pekin. I've made a good life for myself here, but sometimes I think "who are you and what happened". Mostly I feel blessed. My grandchildren light up my world. They are so beautiful- a girl and a boy. Time has certainly flown by. Well that's it in a nutshell!
