Darcy (Smith)'s Story
Ever since I was a little girl, I've always loved school. I used to come home from school and play, guess what? School! Dana and Lynne Booth were my students. They got a lot of detentions:) So, I became a teacher for the last 30 years, until my retirement this year. When we moved to Oregon 24 years ago, I discovered I loved red wine. I went from Pinot Noir to Merlot then back to Cabernet. It usually entails having fun with my family or good friends. (oh, I'll drink about anything if it involves fun!) o very special in our lives. Once we sell our house in Newberg, OR, our plans our to winter in Peoria, AZ near Rory and summer in Seattle with Tiff, Matt and Kellen.
When Dana and I got our new roller skates as 6th graders, we were very excited to rush up to Lincoln School (a block away) and try them out after school! The ball bearings performed to the best of our expectations! We didn't count on Mr. Huntzberger (custodian) catching us and reporting us to Mrs. Button. Geez! I would hope my old friends remember me as someone who has a positive attitude and likes to have fun. My favorite ways to relax are to work out, scrapbook, read, or laugh with friends.
