Jessie's Story
Since graduation I planned on going to college and then life happened. I met the man who is now my husband the year after graduation. We got married in 03' and moved around until this year. About two weeks before our 1 year anniversary my dad got really sick and 2 weeks later we found out he had stage 4 cancer. He did all the treatments possible for a year and I had to make one of the hardest choices and that was to keep my job or be with my dad in his last moments. I chose my dad. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done was to hold my dad's hand and watch him take his last breath. To me its bitter sweet and wouldn't change it for anything. Christmas in 07' and come to find out I was about 5 months pregnant with our daughter. I had her on May 6, 2008 and her name is Angel Megan. She is the center of mine and her daddy's life. Thankfully I am able to be a stay at home mom with her while my husband works full time and goes to school full time. Its hard not seeing him much but I have my family and my church family. We live across the street from our church and our preacher. I wouldn't change it for the world. I love my church and our preacher and his wonderful family. I've never been so grateful and thankful as I am now. Hopefully we will be blessed with another child in the future but right now having a one and a half year old is plenty to keep up with. That is my story for now.
