Dianne's Story
I attended JHS from 1965-1968. I lived in East Jackson, actually on Jackson St. and walked to school most days, until some kindly neighbors invited me to ride. Boy, that was great because I sure did get cold in the winter walking that far.
I was and am a very quiet person who just tried to make it through without causing any waves. Thankfully, I made it and moved on to attend Memphis State University. What a culture shock that was! My room-mate was the girlfriend of the son of the govenor of Tennesse, Frank Clement.
I met my first husband at MSU and moved to Conneticut, got pregnant and moved back to Memphis. Fired him after the baby came..have been married now for 36 years. I have 2 children (1 of each) and 5 grandsons ranging in age from 20 down to 5. The oldest is in the Air Force Special Forces and the youngest is an autistic sava...Expand for more
nt. The boys in between are great kids and I am very fortunate to have been blessed with these children and grandchildren.....not to mention my
husband.
My husband and I live in Mid-Town Jackson in our final home that we built on the only empty lot in the LANA district. It is a beautiful, lovely, peaceful place to be. Nothing fancy, just home.
To all of you out there who are wondering, who was this person...I was the one who sat in homeroom next to Bobby Blow. The short, blond headed girl who had a silver crown on her top front tooth. Remember yet? Probably not. But we can all get to know each other again. Hope all of you JHS alumni are having great lives and living like there is no tomorrow. Cause we are getting older guys, and time is going so much faster. So hitch yourselves up to the computer and lets all get reacquainted.
