Cheryl's Story
I am a Mom, Wife, Grandmother, Friend, Soldier, Combat Veteran, Retired at 53, have travelled to every continent except Australia and Antartica(but plan to!),Helper of the oppressed, Mother to lots of Soldiers, National Officer of The Reserve Officers Association, can sit at the table to develp policy in DC or shoot the breeze with friends locally, I am "Just Cheryl", from Private to Staff Sergeant then Officer Candidate School and Second Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel, I always told them I had Staff Sergeant stripes under my bars/oak leafs!!...Expand for more
The Vietnam ERA GI Bill paid for most of my undergrad but it was at night as I worked at the phone company and had Reserves on the weekend. Desert Storm took me back on Active Duty after "wintering in the Desert'. My Masters was also earned in the evening while working full time but what better way to use what I learn day to day! Currently living in Maryland. Have a boat on the Chesapeake Bay. Only 8 hours from my parents in Hopkinton so get to visit often. Two sisters down the Cape and one in CT. Every ending is a new beginning! Life is great!
