Jay's Story
I am from Galveston, Texas. I was born on Galveston island and lived there for 21 years before moving to the mainland. I am married with three daughters and three grandsons. My schools include Ball High School. I later attended University of North Texas, Alvin CC where I studied Law Enforcement. I have certification in Crime Scene Technology. I worked at the Manvel Police Department, City of Missouri City, Dickinson Police Department and LaMarque Police Departments.
My interests include being outdoors, photography and traveling. So far we have been to 26 states and Mexico in our travels. I am hopeful to visit all of the 48 contiguous states and possibly one day Alaska.
I am retired after serving 34 years in Law Enforcement. I worked extensively with ot...Expand for more
her Police agencies, the FBI and the famous Texas Rangers, working on cases like bank robberies and unsolved homicides.
Before retiring, I was the Chapter Leader for south Texas for the Heartland Owners Club, but my chapter was the only one in Texas, so I was the leader for the entire state of Texas for five years. Heartland is the manufacturer of my fifth wheel trailer and an extensive lineup of travel trailers and fifth wheels. We have a very active club and I have hosted many rallies in Texas and attended several other state's rallies and national rallies. In 2012 I was promoted to Regional Director of the club with my region being the entire central time zone. I am looking forward to the challenge of traveling to these states and meeting new friends.
