Lynne's Story
I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling I've led several lives, one of them in Canada in the late 60s, one of them way upstate, near the Canadian border, where I taught high school English for 20 years, and one here in Berkeley, California, where I'm still teaching at a community college nearby. I've been married and divorced twice, and now I'm in a longterm relationship with the love of my life, whom I met in San Francisco when I was about to turn 21 (he lived down the hall and was studying for the bar exam). after that initial summer, and nineteen years later, we found our way back together. We live in the Berkeley hills with our Golden Doodle, Mia.
My daughter lives in Powell River, British Columbia, with her husband and three children. At least they're in the same time zone!
After lots of digressions, I came back to writing in 1989, and since then, I've published four books of poems and four chapbooks (little books, basically). My other passion is French--I decided ten years ago that I wanted to be fluent. If only I'd decided this way back then ...
