Mary's Story
I hope old friends remember me as the one full of joy that senior year in high school. I wanted to be a writer when I was a little girl. Neither my family nor my friends knew that was my goal. I am now retired, and I never wrote that book I planned to write one day. I blow off steam by yelling at my t.v. I mean really, who wants to listen to somebody blow off steam? The wildest thing I ever did in school was be late 3 times in a 6-week period and I had to stay in detention. Wow talk about boring. If I go back to work, I will need my new digital hearing aids, a phone, and my purse to deal with it all. My hero is Jesus. I would never have made it, would not be alive without Him. I moved to Texas and stayed here because I did not have anybody in SC. I would love to adopt a kitten or two but right now I cannot afford it. My biggest surprise is that I can still be happy even if I got nothing I wanted whatsoever. my dream home is a luxury condo -- I have an ordinary one, but it is nice. I have done lotsof remodeling. I would love to see Betty Riddle again. I want to explain and defend why I am a Republican!!! If I...Expand for more
won $100 million I would give half to the church, several million to charity, and spend and invest the rest so that I would remain a millionaire. I would be really happier if I were married again and had a family of my own. I am 63 now. I never imagined living to this ripe old age. I cannot believe I am alive!!! I would like to finish the degree in political science at UTSA that I have started and do something good for America. My first real crush happened when I was 12 years old and none of you ever knew him. He was one year younger and lived across the street. When I went to girl scout camp for 2 weeks, he put up a welcome home Mary sign when I came home. I was so touched. My best friend would tell you I am an innocent person. People who don't know me well would say no way. I have been in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. That was before they found out who I am!!!! (laugh) In 10 years, I hope to be married, working and have that degree from UTSA. I bet everyone would be surprised how young I look at a reunion. I still wish I could get some nips and tucks though.
