Courtney's Story
I've got a lot of old ways that I left behind. It's funny how having a daughter makes ohe re-evaluate the way you see the dating game. I did a lot of things I hope don't embarass anyone further. I have grown-up, finally, and laugh when I think of the responsible, humanitarian, visionary, and activist I have become. Most folks thought I would grow up and cure the common cold. Well, I was going to, but a wiser man than I said there was more money in being sick than being well, so I ditched the project. Just kidding, everybody! I did get the oppurtunity to observe within the walls of a TDCJ unit the effects of incarceration on addiction. It doesn't work, but the 12 steps are work...Expand for more

I've been living with Systemic Lupus over 10 years now, and I have slowed down, but won't let it get me down. I had a back surgery, too. (Please, if you are considering this to relieve pain, there is only a 30% chance of that result) I'm involved in Westminster Presbyterian Church in
Amarillo, but this time God is real. Or maybe I became real. Simple life, big dreams, and nothing to stand in my way, so I squeeze every ounce of joy out of every single day. Still, the eternal optimist, but remember my Mama? She was one too. Sure do miss her. Miss you all, too! Holler at me when you get a chance. I went back to my maiden name.--Peace! Courtney Olson
