Lloyd's Story

After graduating from high school I went to work in the Carpet Ind. From 1970 to 1975. I left the Carpet Ind. as Plant Manager of Classic Carpet Inc. I started my career with the Dalton City Police Dept. in July of 1975. I meet my present wife Jo Marie Miller in 1980 and in August of 1981 we were married. WE have a son Gene Cooper the III and Daughter Heather Jean Cooper Chandler. part time job working at Kroger's I worked for them for thirteen years. till I realized I was missing out on my Kids growing up. In May of 1983 I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant than to Lieutenant in December of the same year. I contribute my studying habits form high school helping me with my promotions. Over the years working at the Police I held several different jobs within the Department from Shift commander to acting Chief of Police. I enjoyed my years of service and working with the community.
