Jeanette's Story
My story? Well, since I became a mom in high school I had to take care of my baby so instead of graduating with my class I took my GED and aced it before my class even graduated high school. I then went to business school and received an Associates Degree in Computer Programming and have now been living in the IT world for over 20 years. After going through my workaholic stage, I've learned that a job pays the bills and life is about family and friends. I lost my mom on the night before Thanksgiving in 1997 when she was hit by a car. That changed my life entirely, she was one of my best friends. When you leave someone you love, you should always treat them like you will never see them again because we have no control over destiny. The following year, I married my soulmate on Halloween in 150 year old mansion. What a party!! I've lost many people in my life since then and been there for many friends so they have a should...Expand for more
er to cry on. My son is one of the most awesome people I've ever known. He has a heart of gold, an enticing smile and logic that can make your head spin. He seems to have all the best qualities of me and his dad, Dean, with very few of our not so good qualities. He too, became a dad in high school. He graduated ES-M in 1995. He now has 4 beautiful children. The best things in life are free. Live everyday as if it's your last. Avoid petty conflicts, they aren't worth the struggle. Do what you can for others. Something that takes very little of your time, can actually better someone's life and make them a happier person. Take care of the earth, she's the only one we have. Teach the children love and respect, let them know how beautiful and special they are. Let them know that one person can make a difference, it takes only one person to start a war or stop one. Theresa Wells is still my best friend. Brightest Blessings!!
