Vincent's Story
Bachelor of arts degree in 1964 and a masters in education in 1966 from Cornell University, then a Ph.D. in education from Stanford University in 1970. Along the way married Susan Belden in 1965. Taught at the University of California, Davis, from 1970 to 1991. When Susan took a position as professor of psychology at the University of Vermont, I became academic dean at Johnson State College, a college in the Vermont State College system. Retired in 2002 and began teaching AP United States Government and Politics as a half-time teacher at Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, VT. I'll retire from that position on June 18 of this year and Susan will retire from UVM...Expand for more
in June of 2011.We celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary in December.
Three children--David, Tim and Erick--and two grandchildren--Milo and Lucien--both in California (it seems the only way we get females in the Crockenberg family is to marry them).
Been doing something athletic my entire life--first as a high school and college swimmer, then a runner, a master's swimmer, a cyclist, once again a runner, then when we moved to Vermont a skier and for one memorable year(memorable because I damn near killed myself), when Erick was 14, a snow boarder. My knees and shoulders finally rebelled, and I've now settled on outdoor walking and indoor rowing as my exercises of choice.
