Monday, February 15, 2010, President's Day Holiday Hello North Allegheny Classmates: I am completing this information today because I am about to lose my marbles! Why? We have been snowed in since January 30th. :( :( :( If I still lived in Pittsburgh, the amount of snow we received would not have shut down the city. I live outside of, and work in, the Nation's Capital where no one knows the first thing about storm management and effective snow removal. Who would have ever thought that the Federal Government and AICR, my employer, would have been closed for 4 days last week???? And one day the previous week? I cannot even remember when my sons were last in school. Enough of that! Now the good stuff: I left Pittsburgh in April of 1985 and moved to Silver Spring, Maryland to take a position in the trust department of a bank that, after many mergers, became Bank of America. Since October of 2000, I have been with the American Institute for Cancer Research in the DuPont Circle area of Washington, DC, as Assistant Director of Planned Giving which means I am a fund raiser and advisor to our donors, and the estate planning professionals who work with our donors, about their lifetime or testamentary gifting choices. I married Bob Worley in the fall of 1985. He was from Columbus Ohio, also tranplanted to the DC Metro area. I have been a single Mom since 1996.
