Pat's Story

Hi!!! I'm so excited about connecting with y'all!!! Gosh! So much has changed since RLT! Some good, some, well....not so good. For starters, I married Bobby Mayfield just out of school and have 2 wonderful kids to show for it. Bob and I parted ways, approx. 5 yrs later but it's OK. I married 2 more times after that but never seemed to get it right. Now, I'm older and wiser! Now, I'm on my 2nd career. The first one, as a Buyer for electronic components and Project Engineer was fun, exciting, paid VERY well but in the end, I felt like something really big was missing.... soooo....I did one of those personality profiles and it said I was meant to be in the 'service' industry. SERVICE?? Please! I didn't think so, but the more I thought about, the more it made sense. Of course, when it suggested 'Nursing' I laughed! Give shots? Wipe poop? You bet! I can't imagine doing anything else. Even with a HUGE cut in pay, I am rich beyond my wildest dreams! Rich with the joy that comes with being of service to those in need. I've been blessed by the love and trus...Expand for more
t of the many patients I've taken care of. What a gift! Ok...let's address DREAMS! In high school, I just KNEW I was destined to sing on Broadway! My dream came true! Well....sort of. LOLLOL! I sing with an awesome choir at church and we were invited to sing at Lincoln Center! So you're wondering... how that translates into 'singing on Broadway'? I'll tell you! After checking into our hotel, I ran out and YES! I belted out a song on the streets of NYC, on Broadway! So, technically, I DID sing on Broadway! Singing at Lincoln Center was pretty incredible! Another dream come true was my 10 day trip to Israel! To walk where Jesus walked and be baptized in the river Jordan is something still that gives me pause when I think about it. There is absolutely NOTHING like it! I brought home MANY souvenirs including olive branches from The Garden of Gethsemane and got the chance to 'swim' lollol FLOAT in the Dead Sea. My kids are such a treasure to me, and I also have 3 fab Grandsons! Life is SO good!! God is good! I hope to hear from y'all! Pat Shafer Osborne
