Lisa's Story
Hi! before I begin, please don't stop reading as below, I wrote about a joke that we played on Sr. Denise!
I'm Lisa Bryant Boudreaux, am 49 years old, and graduated from Mercy High in 1978.
I attended college at USL and have been an RN for the last 25 or so years. I am no longer working.
Kenny and I have 2 children, [now young adults]; Jennifer 23 and Chris 21.
I hope to find my classmates and reconnect with them! So, anyone from Mercy that remembers me, please write!
The funniest stunt I ever pulled, was in cohoots with Jackie Champagne. We always arrived at school early, so we went exploring the upper storage room. We found a naked manneqin which belonged to the art class Ms.____. We decided to push the thing through the window onto the front balcony so that it could be seen by the students and all cars passing by!
Well, of course the manequin could not fit through the window, because if you remember, windows at Mercy swung only halfway to open and close.
So, we decided to drag the thing down the stairs and as we did,the head, arms, and legs fell apart and were just rolling down the stairs! We laughed so hard trying to hurriedly put the parts back together before any of the nuns arrived. The more we tried, the more they kept falling off again, amd we laughed harder and harder.
Once we put the parts back together, we had to think fast of where we could hide the thing, so we decided to put the man...Expand for more
equin in the bathroom. We stood it up on a toilet in one of the stalls and only the blonde hair of the manequin was visable above the stall. As other students arrived, word of mouth had everyone going in the bathroom and coming out killing themselves laughing, but then Sr. Denise arrived on the scene. She began fussing at everyone to be quiet then she began to investigate where all the rucus was coming from. Again,the only part of the manequin that could be seen above the stall was blonde hair.
Sr. Denise entered the bathroom and when she saw the blonde hair,sticking out above the stall [thinking it was a student standing on the toilet] she began to fuss at the stall shaking her finger saying,"you get down from there, get down from there right now." All the students were laughing so hard as she continued to yell and shake her finger at what she thought was a "student" but the "student" was ignoring her.
Afer a while, she opened the stall door, discovering this was no student at all but a naked manequin! She was SO angry,her face was like a red pepper. She demanded to know who the perpertraiter[s] were. Well, no one ratted us out, but the entire class was punished! I don't think the class minded at all because the stunt was so hilarious!
Poor Sr. Denise. We certainly embarrased and humiliated her and now that I am older, I do feel for her now. But, you know, we were always up to something!
