Jesse's Story
Played the saxophones while in school. Loved it! Best colors, best teachers and the best band,The most beautiful girls in San Antonio went to our school! U.S.Navy Retired after 20 years. Devorced twice. Seven children from both marriages. Now I have 19 Grandchildren so far. Worked as an Electrician and Electronics Tech. after the Navy. Had to Retire later due to a stroke I had in 2001. Officially Retired now in 2010. I still get around okay just can't work anymore or do any sports like I used to. Miss it though. Enjoying what I have left and finally stopping to smell the roses. Didn't realize what I was missing until now. Lived in Fort Worth since 97, Still plan to move back to San Antonio after my youngest is on his own. Almost there Praise the...Expand for more

My first check paying job was at First Mate, the show store on Vance Jackson Road for three years. I got paid $3.18 hr to cook. What I remember most about it was those uniforms; navy blue and white striped T-shirts and white bell bottom pants and a sailor hat, and I especially remember how good their food was. Thought they were going big when they started to build stores in Dallas before I left for boot camp.
I drove a red 1969 VW bug while in school; Fun to drive and it always smelled great for some reason, ;)
I made our 40 year reunion in 2014, it was great. I guess the next one is in 2019, 45th year. if I knew when and where it would be I'd surly try and go again. See you all there. Peace~!
