Ron's Story
So what have I been up to since graduation....? Well I attended UH-Manoa for a bit and dropped out. Moved to Arizona where my dad was stationed after Hickam. I was a lifeguard for awhile and did some security work, construction and retail.
In '84 I joined the U.S. Air Force. My job as a C-130 Hercules Loadmaster allowed me to travel all around the world. Most of the US states, Europe, Middle East, Africa, UK, Far East, Southeast Asia, and more. You can ask me if you want to know more. I retired at Pope AFB, NC in 2004 after 20 yrs. as a Chief Enlisted Aircrew and Instructor Loadmaster .
During the later years of my AF career and after retiring, I worked with some Equine Rehab groups helping disabled children. Nothing warms your heart more than seeing a child come out of thier shell when they ride a horse for the first time.
I've been married twice and divorced once. I have 2 great kids from my 1st marriage...Expand for more
and 2 great step kids from my 2nd marriage. Between the 4 kids I have 12 grandchildren....6 boys and 6 girls. If my daughter marries her boyfriend, that will add 2 more girls! Wow!!
Been married now for almost 17 years to a wonderful woman (also a USAF Disabled Veteran and retired civilian nurse) and the love of my life whom I enjoy taking care of and pampering..
Well, not much more to tell. I enjoy my Harley (the bike and the granddaughter :-) ) and woodworking and my computer. I enjoy Microsoft FSX Flight Simulator.....when my computer decides to cooperate. Lets me do some of the things I couldn't do as an enlisted (non-pilot) flyer.
At 55, I'm still a child of the 60's & 70's although you probably couldn't tell by my profile photo, yes there is a 4ft ponytail down my back and getting longer, but thinner.
The music also gets me going....The Who, The Guess Who, Moody Blues, AD/DC and more from that time.
