Linda's Story
I was only 8 years old and living in Birmingham, England when Doris Day's hit song of 1956, Que Sera, Sera, rang out from the wireless. The lyrics played over and over again in my young mind and I, too, wondered what the future would bring. The years that have passed between that time and now have brought - as many of your lives have - both happiness and sorrow.
After divorce ended my first marriage, I worked for many years as a financial/actuarial computer-programmer in Toronto, Ontario, and although I loved my job, I couldn't wait for the day to end to pull on my riding boots, plop my hard-hat on my head, and canter my horse, Mel, across the countryside north of the cit...Expand for more

Today, I live a simple existence in an old Arts & Crafts house by beautiful St. Mary's Bay in Nova Scotia with my adorable American husband, Ed. We are homesteading, growing vegetables year-round, raising chickens and milking Hazel, our Alpine goat. We have two adopted dogs, breeds unknown, and a young and loveable Bluetick Coonhound called Bluebell. And Mel, of course, is still with us. (To help keep the old brain cells in order, I work in leather, making hand-sewn handbags, belts, cases etc.)
Many of you remain in my memory and I often wonder how you are. If you're reading this now, please take good care of yourself, and perhaps we'll meet again some day. Linda
