Aaron's Story
Not much to say ... Overall, life's been pretty good. Not without its challenges, but good overall. My wife is beautiful; our children are wonderful; work is steady (And, thank God, it's local, too!) And, we live in the Texas Hill Country roughly 18 miles from the nearest "anything". I suppose that, in a way, I'm already am in heaven. :)
I graduated from Tarleton State University in 1992 & 1993 and went immediately to work in private industry -- Activant Solutions, TI and SAP. I married in November 1995. And, then, I went back to school in 1996, completing my graduate study in 1999. I took a promotion and remained with SAP an additional year and, then, went to Dell -- seems like everyone else. , I left private industry altogether and went to work for the state (i.e. DPS, the State Comptroller's Office, TxDOT) full-time through 2009. I worked work part-time jobs here and there or consulted on the side for the next couple of years, before returning to private industry full-time for a little company -- just 43 employees -- and, later, for a well-known technology company.
I still hunt and fish, although ... My daughter showed me up the last time we fished. :) My oldest son dropped his first deer in 2009 ... a 145-yard shot. Absolutely flawless. :) My next-oldest son took district in 4H Precision Rifle in 2012. Other than that, a typical afternoon finds us tossing-around a football, grilling, etc.
