Aaron's Story

Life Hello to anyone I went to school with (And if I didn't go to school with you, hi anyway) Well! Life after high school was a couple years of absolute wild fun, then a couple years of living hell, and after that things got back on track and here I am now, in 2005, doing pretty well!! I am happily married to my wife Vicki for almost 12 years now, and I have a son, Aaron DAVID Smith (I didn't curse him with my middle name) who was born in 1995. I'm doing the normal things we all do in life.....working (been with the same company over 10 years now), enjoying home life (bought our house in December 2001), trying to keep in shape walking, etc. (yeah like that's easy).....pretty much doing the normal "thirtysomething" things I'm sure all of you will relate to. Gave up the muscle car, traded it in for a Dodge Caravan, etc. I'm pretty much still the same guy I was back in school but I'm much more outgoing and assertive now.....life experiences will do that to a fella.........OH and I have a bit of gray hair too!! It happens, there are worse things. I'm not sure offhand what they are but I'm sure there are worse things. I spend time on the internet daily for my work and hobbies and news, so I check my email regularly. Give me a holler at tafternoon at sbcglobal dot net (Sorry for the acronymn there, just trying to outsmart Classmates' servers......did it work? If I get an email I guess it did.) Hope all is well with all of you, don't hesitate to email me, I remember all of you. Except you, no, I don't remember you...................LMAO School Do they REALLY expect you to answer ultra-personal questions like "Who was your biggest crush", etc. ?? I think the answers to those kinds of questions are known to the people who they pertain to. I enjoyed school, but I was really bored my junior year, and it affected my grades, etc......no one's fault but mine, oh well. I had a lot of fun doing different things with a lot of my freinds, and the experiences that came with them (First "drunk", first fight, first........nevermind) But I am sure that if I think about it, I do have some memory of all of you I went to school with. There was not anyone that I did not like, I always thought a lot of all my fellow students. I am amazed at how different life has turned out from the way I expected not only for myself but for several of my fellow students. Hope you're all doing well. High School was fun for me, but I didn't really "Become Me" until after high school. Does that make any sense? Oh well, to me it does. But then, 2 plus 2 equals THREE........and I can prove it logically. Don't belie...Expand for more
ve me? Email me and I'll tell you. College Went to Navarro Jr. College in 1988-1989 (Yeah I know, I was supposed to be a SENIOR with the rest of you guys right?) Well like I said in my SCHOOL bio I was extremely bored my junior year, so during the summer I got my GED and enrolled at Navarro with a Pell Grant. First semester went really well, second semester most of my classes were "Party 101" with extensive lab study. Bottom line.......dropped out after a year. BUT I continued my lab studies in "party 101". I'm over that now though, thank god. OH what was my major? If you know me, you have to know....it was COMMERCIAL ART. Workplace After college I kind of floated around here and there. Got married to my first wife (that was a mistake and I knew it before hand......cool how you do stupid things when you're young isn't it?) Anyway I worked for Mexia State School for a year after high school at the "Group Home" facility on Commerce street. Was pretty interesting actually, the guys who lived there were pretty damn sharp and THEY taught me a few things. Later I moved to Dallas and worked at a Payless Cashways lumber yard. About 6 months later I moved to Corsicana and got TWO jobs, one working at a MHMR "Group Home" similar to the one in Mexia, evenings, and worked as a salesman at the Bealls store at the Corsicana Mall. That was a fun job. I had to wear dress shirts, ties, slacks, etc. BUT I was able to keep my long hair (after school I let my hair grow out, it was down to about the middle of my back at that time). THEN I got into a bit of legal trouble and ended up moving to Beaumont, Texas quite frankly, to get away from everyone and everything. I needed a fresh start and I got it. I worked as a waiter at a fine-dining restaurant inside a Holiday Inn in Beaumont, had to wear a TUXEDO and everything (Imagine that one if you can). That was a fun job. Did a couple of short stays at a few other places, then I worked for Budweiser for about 1-1/2 years (you'd think that would be a FUN or COOL job...........NOT!!!!!) Left there 3 months before my son was born in February of 1995, and got on with Coastal Welding Supply in Beaumont, Texas. I am still there today and have been a part of helping the company grow from one location to now, four. It's been a good place to work and the pay and benefits are tough to beat. Military I've never served in the military but I have played some military games on the Playstation 2 like Socom, Medal of Honor, etc. Does that count? JUST KIDDING......here's a big thanks to anyone, anywhere who has served our country and defended our freedom.
