Life
Well, where to begin?
Graduation day 1997 sounds good... After that day, I moved to Provo, Utah where I earned a few more pilot ratings and generaly screwed off for a while. In '99 I moved to Salt Lake City where I met my Wife, Jennifer. Since we have been married, we have been on the move every couple years for my career, moving where the jobs are. Ever heard the Johnny Cash song "I've been everywhere Man"? Yeah, that about sums it up. We moved to Abilene for a summer, that was a bad idea and soon left back to Utah. In the Fall of 2002, I was hired as a pilot for L.A.B. Flying Service, based in Juneau Alaska. I flew there for almost three years before taking a job in a small Native village about 200 miles west of Anchorage called Iliamna. While living there my time was mostly consumed with flying, bored...Expand for more
om, and, um... more boredom. After a year of that we had enough and moved to Livingston Montana where I planned to get a job flying out of Bozeman. Why did we go to Livingston? That's Jens' hometown, so we thought we would give that a try. Well, I got hired by a company that contracts pilots for FedEx and was immediately domiciled where? Back in SLC! So much for Montana... After almost a year in SLC, I was offered a position flying freight for the same company but to be based in Honolulu Hawaii. I have come to the conclusion that Hawaii is a good place to visit although I have no desire to live there again. We are currently living in Juneau Alaska again and have bought a house and a new plane, a 1963 Piper Apache 235. After a short stint with L.A.B. again I am now flying for Grant Aviation in Bethel, Alaska.
