Life
Graduated from Appalachian State in 1971, BS-BA Business Administration; married Becky Bartles, Union Mills, NC in 1970; blessed with a daughter, Debbie, in 1970; lived in the Rural Hall area for 24 years; divorced in 1996; Debbie graduated with honors from North Forsyth in 1989, graduated with honors from UNC Charlotte in 1994 with a double major in chemistry and English, currently a stay-at-home Mom, last teaching assignment was at Independence High in Charlotte, NC teaching English, married Scott Rosenschein in 1994 (a sergeant in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg Police Dept); twin grandbabies arrived July 2, 2006 -Mary and Emily; I remarried in 1997, Abbie Underwood from Monroe, NC; her son, Clay, and his wife, Crystal, have two children, Austin, our oldest grandchild born January 19, 2002; a daughter, Brooke, born May 20, 2008; I took an early retirement package in January, 2005 from RJR retiring as Promotional Materials Manager, 17 years of service (1988 to...Expand for more
2005), coupled with 4 years of service at Piedmont Airlines (1984 to 1988) as Materials Analyst, and 13 years of service at Westinghouse Electric Corp (1971 to 1984) as Purchasing Manager, Senior Buyer, Buyer for a career total of 34 years of service; after retirement from RJR I worked 2 1/2 years with Graphic Innovations in a sales/marketing capacity; currently retired.
