at is written in his position description. He is at his best when he’s thinking of ways to improve things; whether it’s his assigned programs, the work areas around him or safety and processes across the entire center. He’s a genuine self-starter and can always be counted on no matter what the task at hand. Abe is an asset to any team, as he quietly performs without complaint, constantly gives 100% to everything he does and always leaves things better than how he found them. He is an example every employee, manager and wage grade alike, should emulate. First-rate manager; single-highhandedly managed DLA Distribution San Joaquin’s equipment fleet of 760+ pieces valued over $25M; meticulously oversaw utilization, maintenance, and operation of vehicles/material handling equipment (MHE) at the DoD's Defense Logistics Agency’s 2nd largest of 24 Global Distribution Centers —key to the center processing over 200K receipts and more than 1.4M issues, enabling support of DLA Director’s goal of Warfighter First. Serves as the principle senior-level technical specialist/advisor on all aspects of Defense San Joaquin’s vehicle/MHE fleet; ensures the fleet remained operational/capable of supporting Warfighter requirements at all times—instrumental to the center maintaining mission metrics above 86%, for an unprecedented 3-months running. “Boots on the ground” management philosophy; the on-hands management style enables him to tackle any equipment issues/safety concerns at the source; authored a comprehensive paper and provided in-depth statistical research data that led to the HQs of Defense Distribution Center consideration for Defense Logistics Agency-Distribution-San Joaquin as a DLA test and research location for electric and lithium MHE technology. Our “go to” for all complex equipment projects that is always completed on time, with exceptional results.
