Ada Dupree:  

Snapshot of Ada's Life:After leaving the cocoon of Northwest High,this butterfly worked for Blue Cross/Blue shield for a while in claims and on the PBX. I also worked in the dental office of Dr. E.O. Massey, D.D.S.(deceased) on (Easton)MLK Drive where I was a Dental Assistant while attending Forest Park Community College. I graduated from there with an A.A. in Business Administration. I did some brief modeling with a Black Fashion troupe in St. Louis and had a layout in the Post-Dispatch when it featured one of our fashion shows. Marla Dukes also was with the troupe. In 1976 I visited a friend in California whom I had met at Forest Park CC and found a cousin who had moved there and made the decision to stay and rest is history. I worked various temp jobs in San Franciso and Oakland until I got my x-ray license from the state of California for working in the dental office then worked as a Dental Assitant in Oakland, CA for a few years. I decided to go back to school for a higher degree and to increase my earning power. I attended Cal State Univeristy in Hayward, CA where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Human Resources & Industrial Relations major with a minor in Psychology.(My career goal in our year book was to become a Psychoanalyst).
