Life
I'm 58 today and, knowing this is one site where that is not unusual, decided to post. Both of the photos I posted are "now" photos, of course. I've got some "then" but there are packed away in a box. When I met up with Bill Varner a few years ago he commented that my hair, then longer, was just like it was in high school. Being that boring wasn't exactly my purpose so a while back I cut it short. Those two tall, gorgeous young adults with me the one photo are my "kids," Ian, now 27, and Grace, now 26, both happy, productive adults, Grace a working artist in NYC and ...Expand for more
Ian a technology wizard here in Boston where I've lived since 1977. I've been a widow for a number of years now and am in a doctoral program in religion and society preparing for my third career. Earlier ones in urban planning and financial journalism worked fine and sort of led to this one in ways this short space wouldn't let me detail. I'll be 60 when I get the degree and, I hope, an academic job that will allow me to teach and continue to write for a long time into the future. Look for future books and op-eds! I won't be at the reunion but wish all of you the very best!
