Adam's Story
Hello,
Hope my fellow classmates are doing well. I live and work in SF and would love to hear from you all as to how you are doing. I think I missed all the reunions because I was out of the country but if there is another one, now that I am back, I would love to catch up.
Particulars about me: Went to Reed College (lit major), bummed around a bit, then stumbled into computer systems administration (akin to babysitting, but better paying :), went to Europe and lived and worked there for 5 1/2 years (so can finally speak French, no thanks to Mr. Tilden). However I spent the most time (3 yers) in Italy and really loved it. Guess I mainly came back for family and because I never met the right girl for me. Been living and working in SF for the past 12 years or so. I love the easy access to mentally stimulating people, arts, culture, ideas. drama, Austen, James Joyce but hey I liked the Harry Potter and Golden Compass series as well so hopefully I'm not sounding like a snob. Because I am a big reader (but like movies to), I spend most of my time solo, I like being in the big City with it's culture but also like living and being alone. But I do like to hang out with friends and would love to catch up with you folks. I'm not a complete couch potato as I do occasionally do rock climbing in Yosemite or Joshua Tree, some windsurfing and sea kayaking, backpacking - it's odd that I grew up next to a State park and now now I am packing and driving to places to hike but that's the modern life I guess. Anyhow, I like the life I am living and my main regret is that I had kids. But I have a great niece and nephew so the bloodline continues :).
