Adele's Story
Hi everyone! My name is Adele Robinson (Campbell in high school). I was the class valedictorian. I have really lived a rags to riches lifestyle since high school. I grew up in the Bernal Dwelling housing projects in SF (dubbed the killing fields), which were not safe or easy growing up in. After graduating high school, I moved my mom and I to a better location in the city. At 20 I moved on my own to Nob Hill. I have been lucky to work in jobs that I have enjoyed. I worked for 7 years at the Jewish Community Center in the Presidio area as a lifeguard and water safety instructor. During the same time I did lots of volunteer work as well at the Rec Center for the Handicapped (special olympics), the University of California (doctors and famillies swim program), and the Marines Memorial.

, although I did continue to volunteer at the Marines Memorial and health clubs. I also worked at my friends dating service for awhile. In 1986, we moved out of SF, and continued to move around California for the next 7 years .
I divorced in 1992, and went back to work. I always loved teaching, and this time I chose to work in the classroom with preschoolers for 15 years with the school district. I loved it. I also worked at a handicapped school with special education classes. I worked till December 2007.
I met my current husband at a Christian Singles dance,in 2004, and we were married a few months later. He took an early retirement from the University of California, Davis, and I chose to stop working so we could enjoy life and do lots of traveling.
We now enjoy living in a retirement resort in Arizona.
My daughter is married with 2 daughters of her own. My son passed away in the military.
