Adrienne's Story
Life
Isn't life interesting? It is strange to think that it has been seven, almost eight this spring, since we graduated from high school. Not to say that I am depressed about it, life has been fabulous since graduating, though my grades since then have suffered.
After high school I attended California State University, Hayward and earned a Bacholers. I then moved to New York City in persuit of a Master's of Music Degree, which I earned in 2004.
I am persuing a professional classical singing career. I perform regularly with choirs and orchestra's. I sing at St. Patrick's Cathedral and am involved in community music events, the community being Manhattan....
I teach elementary school music in the Bronx. Not my dream job but one that is fun, exciting, exhaustive, yet rewarding.
School
When I attended Livermore High School I was heavily active in the performing arts....Expand for more
I participated in Band, choir and drama all four years in attendnce, and I graduated with a 3.8. (My highest grade point average ever!) I immediatly went to CSUH, got a BA and then to the Manhattan School of Music to get a MM.
College
I went to California State University, Hawayrd after high school from 1997-2002. I paid my way through scholarships and work. I earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Music. In the fall of 2002 I attended one of the best music schools in the country for Opera in Manhattan. It was a fabulous experience, though I mostly went for my private voice teacher and the experience of New York City. What a place. The school was located across the street from Columbia Univerity on the upper west side of Manhattan. Though the school was competitive, I was able to create my own oppertunities and experiences in order to prepare me for the 'real' world of opera.
