After graduating from McClintock I spent a year at Mesa Community College before transferring to Northern Arizona University (NAU). I love school in the mountains and pines and became more involved in activities than I was in High School. I graduated from NAU in 1974 with a degree in Microbiology, thinking I wanted to be a Medical Technologist. But at the end of that last year I decided I didn't really want to watch things grow in petri dishes so I stay an extra year in Flagstaff and started my Masters degree. I knew I wanted to do something with health care so I transferred to ASU and finished my degree in Health Services Administration. During that time I worked for the Arizona Department of Health Services in the Family Health Services division. I did my internship at Arizona Children's Hospital which at the time was run by the State of AZ and was housed in the old TB hospital on Curry Road. After I finished my Masters degree I got a job in Palm Springs California working as a Budget Analyst at Desert Hospital....Expand for more
