Agnes's Story
After graduation in 1963, I moved back to Santa Fe which was really my home town. I married in October of '64, had 2 children (a girl and a boy) and divorced in 1971. Been single since then. Guess I was too scared to remarry with 2 small children, you know the step parent thing. Also, I didn't change my name back to Marquez because, in those days, it would have been too confusing for my children as they grew older. tayed there for almost 16 years, then bounced around state government for about 3 years before starting with New Mexico State University in their Government Affairs Office in Santa Fe. I finally retired in 1994 when I moved to Albuquerque to care for my 95 year old Mom. After so many years in the workforce, I found that I could not fully retire so found myself a peach of a job with an intellectual property law firm in Albuquerque. I now work from home so I can take care of Mom (technology is a wonderful thing!). I'm still single and will probably remain that way. Enough of my story. Take care!
