g with credibility instead of a working father providing for his family/ So who's to blame?/ Generations old and new/ But between me and you real soilders might be a dying breed/ That we will only be able to read about in history books/ Ignore those strange looks while you carry your bookbags, breifcasese, and grocery bags to work, school, or your family/ Cause in the end they will carry your name on with pride to their son's and daughters/ They will speak of their fathers/ Real soilders - strong brothers- exceptions to the rule/ Better than just street/ Taking the heat for the perpetual lie that all he can do is be a man/ But you understand that its more/ It is being a lover a friend, a father, a dreamer, a believer in He who is more powerful than yourself/ It is being beautiful and making me want to cater to you / Because I know that you will cater to me/ But I see, and real chicks see all the real soldiers out there/ We know that real soldiers are carrying big things/ Not on your waist or in your pants, but on your minds and in your spirirts/ The biggest thing that real soldiers are carrying, is the next generation of brothers/ And us sisters must be willing to share the load/ Not just by running your bath water and cookin' your food (which we can do)/ But by telling your sons to be more like you "Are you a thermostat or a thermometer? Do you reflect your environment or change it?" ".
