Al's Story
Life
I was the Circulation Manager for The Gazette newspaper in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 25 years until retiring. I also coached girls AAU Basketball and ASA Softball for Linn-Mar schools until 2005.
I have come out of retirement and I'm now the warehouse, receiving and shipping manager for the RockTenn company in Iowa City.

My wife and I are world travelers as a hobby. We spend two weeks in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii every year.
College
I attended Grand View College for two years. I earned an BA degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa in 1975. While teaching, I attended the University of Iowa and I had just my thesis to go for my Masters in Elementary Administration when I left the education field.
